Missing important features July 22, 2010 W. Fisher I'm sorry that I did not read the other reviews carefully enough. In particular, pay attention to John P Benson's. I could not believe what he said was true, but it is: 1) There is no light that comes on when another phone on the same line is in use. John says it only works with another phone of the same model. I can't confirm that. 2) There are only 3 buttons to program with phone numbers. You see all those buttons on the side? Those are for intercom extensions! (There is a 50 number directory that you can get at by pushing more buttons)
Unmentioned on John's review, but a showstopper for me: There is no detection of phone-company voicemail (stutter dial tone). I probably should have noticed that it was not called out explicitly, but who would guess that a reasonably expensive fancy phone would not have that?
Annoyances: By default it will pick a free line when you call out. But one of my lines is my office with unlimited calling features, while the other is my home where I pay for each call. I don't want to be talking for 2 hours to someone on the other side of the world before realizing that I'm on the wrong line! You can set it to go to a particular line, but I think if you do that, it does not switch to the ringing line when you answer. (I was packing it back up before I had a chance to try, I admit). It also insists on going to speakerphone when you push a line button to choose the line you wish to pick up. Sigh.
And finally, a minor annoyance: Caller ID does not set the time and date unless you have already set it. (Huh? I don't get that one!)
The phone appears to be solidly built. There is a significant instruction book with it. I called their 800 number to confirm that I was really right about these features and they were very helpful (but said I was right). But especially the missing voicemail light is going to make me return it.
Solid speakerphone July 16, 2010 HB (Washington, DC) Good quality phone that I would recommend to others. Only complaint is that there is only 3 speed dial buttons on the phone.
high tech company with short vision for reality July 6, 2010 John L. Murad, MD (Dallas,TX) There is no display light in the caller ID panel. I read the reviews and was aware of it not being there but had no idea how poorly the display was so uinreadable. Terrible waste of money for the huge inconvenience of this badly designed sysytem. Othereise the phones works all right.

Great office phone July 2, 2010 connor1699 We purchased this phone for the features, and it did not disappoint. The phone is well constructed, and the speakerphone is full-duplex so both caller and receiver can talk at the same time. At first, we thought the cord would be too short, but by stretching the cord out (holding one end of cord with one hand while pulling with the cord out with the other hand), it becomes longer than expected. The caller ID screen does not light up, but we didn't like Indigo (looks like wrist watches from the 90s) like so many others that do light up.
This is one phone well worth the price!
Bad Receiver/Handset February 15, 2010 OLDS (Nassau, Bahamas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received this phone and the Receiver/Handset was not working and I was unable to get a replacement for it. The customer service is terrible, as I believe Panasonic does not support this model anymore.I received this phone and the mouthpiece on the handset has never worked.
I decided to try and replace the handset but nobody sells the part, so I was essentially stuck with a "paperweight".As stated the mouthpiece of the handset has never worked. The user can hear the person on the other end but the person on the other end cannot hear the user. The phone has never worked and I could not find a replacement part.
