My wife and I bought this phone for her mother, who had destroyed several other phone's by knocking them off, dropping the reciever, she couldn't hear what was being said either. The volume control is easy for her to use and the phone is heavy enough to with stand being dropped by accident.

I bought this phone for my boyfriend, who longed for a retro telephone. I must say that it was a lot lighter in weight than I had expected, and not so solidly put together as I had hoped. The most disappointing thing about this phone, is that there is a low hum on the line, and occasional clicking, which is definitely coming from the phone itself (we checked.)I give this phone three stars, and its attributes two.

Not bad, kind of like the old AT&T phones, except I really wanted one of these because with a long cord, corded handset, and a shoulder rest I expected to be able to amble around my home office w/o the phone base budging a bit. It ain't quite there, but if you put some lead tape on the bottom it would be.

I gave a good review for this phone. But I realize this phone does not shield the static well compare to other phone. For the same phone line when I plug in to the phone jack near my kitchen area, only this phone had problem of bad echo and statics. When I switch to other phone it is fine. When I move this phone to other quiet location, static is gone. This phone must not have a good shield. Anyway, other than that limited static shield. Here is my old review. It's simple to use. It's has good sound quality. The plastic is solid. And color is very nice compare to the posted picture. It's has very nice touch when you dial. It is soft and feel nice. I enjoy this phone very much. You can not go wrong with ITT phone. But do not expect any feature. This phone works well with VoIP service.
